Creepshow Series to Air on AMC Next Month

Well, while we nevertheless strongly recommend that you check out Shudder if you’re a horror fan, you’re still in luck if you don’t: the entire first season of Creepshow will run on basic cable’s AMC network (which owns Shudder) next month. The show will premiere on Monday, May 4 and will air two episodes back to back, starting at 9:00 p.m. ET.

Now, the first season is comprised of just six episodes, but each episode contains two standalone tales of terror for a total of one dozen haunting stories, many of them written and/or directed by some of the genre’s more notable names.

The series is executive produced by showrunner The Crow), Dave Bruckner (The Ritual), Tom Savini (Dawn of the Dead) and many others.

Cast include David Arquette (Scream), Adrienne Barbeau (The Fog), Tobin Bell (Saw), Jeffrey Combs (Re-Animator), Giancarlo Esposito (Better Call Saul), Tricia Helfer (Battlestar Galactica), DJ Qualls (Supernatural) and more.

The original 1982 movie, which starred Barbeau, Hal Holbrook, Fritz Weaver, Leslie Nielsen and actors like Ed Harris and Ted Danson in some of their earliest roles, featured five stories either based on existing tales penned by King or dreamed up by the author for the movie. It was followed by two sequels.
