Star Wars Episode IX The Rise of Skywalker Trailer Revealed
The Star Wars Episode IX trailer has finally arrived and it's worth the wait. Watch the teaser for the saga's final (for now) chapter.
You never thought you’d see the day but it’s here. It’s really here! The Star Wars Episode IX trailer has been released. Fittingly, this teaser for the final act of the third Star Wars Celebration Chicago. This trailer, after all, is nothing if not a Star Wars Celebration.
Without further ado…
The gang’s all here in the Star Wars Episode IX The Rise of Skywalker trailer. Finn, Poe Dameron, and Rey have come a long way. As has C-3PO (and presumably R2D2). And freaking Lando Calrissian! Then there’s everyone’s favorite longhaired, angsty emo villain boy, Ben Solo a.k.a. Kylo Ren. Rey has TIE-fighter flipping powers now, which is nice. The trailer promises that “The Saga Will Come to an End” but as a familiar-sounding voice also says “We’ll always be with you. No one’s ever really gone.”
Now that’s all recklessly speculate about what “The Rise of Skywalker” could mean.
Star Wars Episode IX The Rise of Skywalker could be the last major Star Wars release we see for awhile, which makes it and this trailer release all the more special. Solo: A Star Wars Story were good-to-excellent at times but Disney and Lucasfilms have wisely realized that one Star War a year might lead to fan burnout. That’s why it’s so important that Star Wars Episode IX go hard and judging by this trailer it’s set to do just that.
